General Atlantic-backed Acko invites bank pitches for $350 million India IPO

Indian insurtech firm **Acko Technology & Services Pvt.** has initiated the selection process for investment banks to lead a potential initial public offering (IPO). The digital insurer is reportedly seeking to raise up to **$350 million** through the float, which is expected to launch in the second half of 2026.
The proposed offering is anticipated to feature a combination of **primary share issuance** to fund expansion and **secondary sales** by existing stakeholders. Backed by high-profile investors including General Atlantic, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), Accel, and Amazon, the Bengaluru-based company is currently finalizing its roster of financial advisers.
Acko’s move toward the public markets follows a period of significant growth and narrowing fiscal losses. For the 2024–2025 financial year, the company reported a **34% increase in operating revenue** to ₹2,836 crore, while consolidated net losses reduced to ₹424 crore. The firm currently serves over 78 million customers across motor, health, and travel insurance segments.
