L&T Shares Gain 4% on Record Q3 Order Inflows
**Larsen & Toubro** shares surged **4%** to **Rs 3,935** on Thursday, January 29, 2026, following the release of its third-quarter financial results.
**Financial Performance**
The engineering conglomerate reported a **4.3%** decline in consolidated net profit, which stood at **Rs 3,215 crore** for the quarter ending December 2025. This dip was primarily driven by a one-time exceptional provision of **Rs 1,191 crore** related to new labour codes.
**Core Growth Strength**
Excluding the exceptional item, the recurring profit after tax demonstrated robust health, growing **31%** year-on-year to **Rs 4,406 crore**. Consolidated revenue from operations rose **10%** to **Rs 71,450 crore**, supported by strong execution across its project portfolio.
**Record Order Book**
The company achieved its highest-ever quarterly order inflows of **Rs 1.36 lakh crore** (Rs 135,581 crore), marking a **17%** increase over the previous year. International orders contributed significantly, accounting for **49%** of the total inflow.
As of December 31, 2025, the consolidated order book crossed a historic milestone, reaching **Rs 7.33 lakh crore**, a **30%** growth compared to the same period last year. This expanded pipeline provides strong revenue visibility for the upcoming quarters.
