Shoppers Stop Shares Fall Over 12% After Q3 Profit Declines to Rs 16 Crore
Shoppers Stop Earnings Impact
Shoppers Stop shares witnessed a significant correction, plummeting over **12%** following the release of its December quarter financials for FY26. Investor sentiment turned negative as the retail chain reported a sharp decline in profitability.
Consolidated net profit crashed by **69.13%** year-on-year, falling to **Rs 16.12 crore**. Despite the steep bottom-line erosion, the company managed a marginal top-line growth, with revenue from operations increasing by **2.63%**.
The management attributed the weak performance to a shifted festival calendar which disrupted typical seasonal gains. Additionally, uneven consumption trends across the sector further pressured margins despite the slight uptick in operational revenue.
